About

Working as a visual designer for over 10 years, I have contributed to countless projects in a wide range of industries*. I have a reputation for being curious, eager to learn, and personable with colleagues, teams, and clients alike. In 2019, I pivoted from a design career marketing/advertising into my passion of User Experience design.

Hi!

👋

I’m Meghan

I’m a results-driven UX designer with a successful track record of user engagement.

With 10+ years of visual design experience across various industries, I combine my extensive expertise of marketing initiatives with human-centered design. My approach is process-oriented that’s grounded in research.

Product design with a competitive advantage can't be created in a vacuum. It requires co-creation with a multidisciplinary team and embraces user insight. I always try to optimize processes and improve workflows between teams to move faster without design friction, with the playbook of Design Operations as my Northstar.

To champion today's user in the 2020 health crisis, I’m volunteering as a UX advisor for the NC COVID-19 Support Project, sponsored by Code for America. In early 2020, I supervised user research for AdventureTripr, an early-stage travel startup, to craft a tailored pre-launch strategy for their mobile platform. In addition to organizing and conducting sessions, I love talking to users and incorporating their key insights into product design.

When I’m not designing, I love empowering my colleagues with self-defense tactics and practical safety tips.

Empowering others

In 2016, I teamed-up with Defense-ability as their assistant instructor. For the next two years, I trained women around the Bay Area (and coworkers!) to overcome their fears by sharing practical safety and self-defense tactics.

Fun fact: I was trained by the “Real Mr. Myagi” for nearly 10 years.

Your team will more efficient, stronger, and happier with me on it.
